Every day except Monday, from March to October, you can take part in one of the experiences offered by our packages and work alongside our chef, Vito Piccolo, to discover the secrets behind typical Italian and Amalfi Coast cuisine and prepare the tasty dishes on the menu in a wonderful kitchen overlooking the sea!

Abbiamo cenato al Melchiò, tavolo in terrazza coperta, accoglienza molto gentile. Abbiamo ordinato scampi gratinati e pesce castagna in tempura entrambi squisiti, soprattutto la tempura , veramente fine. Di primo abbiamo preso ravioli verdi con la triglia ed il suo sughetto, e la rivisitazione delle lasagne. Abbiamo continuato con lo stracotto di manzo e il totano ripieno , per finire con una profumatissima delizia al limone. Pietanze ben impiantate, con ricercatezza e buon gusto, perché anche l’occhio vuole la sua parte. Sapori delicati e gustosissimi, che abbiamo accompagnato con un ottimo vino locale della cantina “Marisa Cuomo”. C’è stato offerto il limoncello, anche quello realizzato da loro, profumato. Prezzi corretti per la qualità del pescato fresco degustato e per la finezza dei piatti. Siamo stati benissimo, quando torneremo sulla costiera amalfitana faremo di nuovo tappa sl Melchiò. An excellent hidden gem of a restaurant tucked up in the hillside above the coast with amazing views from the terrace. We had the eggplant cutlet, and the ricotta ravelio and the mixed grill fish, all of which were incredible, especially the mixed grill which was charred to perfection with a nice smoky charcoal taste. Chef Vito and his wife are lovely, lovely people who took such good care of us. Their wait staff were excellent and wanted the best experience for us as well. We felt like VIPs! The food was incredibly delicious as well as works of art.
The Patron Executive Chef of Melchiò Restaurant is Vito Piccolo, whose experience in the restaurant world spans nearly thirty years.
This achievement is the result of countless sweat and sacrifices unimaginable for today’s young people, and what sets him apart from any other chef is his love and passion for this arduous yet wonderful profession.
Our Chef spent many years under the guidance of talented and meticulous Executive Chefs such as Matteo Sangiovanni, Domenico Cuomo, Alois Vanlagenaecker, Oliver Glowig, Tonino Mellino, and Alfonso Porpora. Thanks to all these Chefs and the various kitchen brigades, he realized this was his path.
The cornerstone of his cuisine is the search for excellent raw materials, essential for creating perfect dishes.
After years of collaboration, his suppliers have now understood that he demands only the best. Finally, the last but fundamental secret of his success is his family, his wife Caterina, and above all “Little” Pietro Pio, a child who gives our Chef so much strength, energy, and love every day.
